MOHA Research Center presented in Kavala the exhibition “Silk Garden”. For about a month, the creations of the MANTILITY gallery were bloomed daily in the Mestjit of Imaret, establishing a new place of authenticity. The “Silk Garden” hosted a multidimensional artistic collection and spread a silky thread that aspires to unite the fauna and flora with the people, their art and techniques.
The scarf became a canvas for creators. The silk scarf is dreamy by nature, inviting designers from all over the world to tell their own stories. Silk scarves of various sizes “flew” under the dome of the Mejjid, recalling the ethereal dimension of the material and the intangible, recalling stories and conversing with space and time.
In “Silk Garden”, the founder of MANTILITY Vasiliki-Zafiria Ypsilantis (curator) and the artist Andreas Georgiadis (design), as other “gardeners”, used the Mestjit to present a different “garden” of creativity, where a variety of flowers bloomed silk inspirations and styles. The “soil” of Imaret, fertile and rich, hosted over 15 artists and their silky works that adorn the MANTILITY collection.
