Portrayed in the West and throughout the Arabic world as a soldier who emerged from obscurity to become the founder of the modern Egyptian state. Mohammed Ali Pasha associated his name with the highest prosperity of the Nile country, created a powerful army, led by his son, Ibrahim Pasha, decisively involved in the Greek Revolution and the war scenes in the Middle East during the 19th century.
